Used 2.28 meter (90
inch) trim coating system – including coating kitchen, supercalender,
slitter-rewinder and spare rolls. Off machine coater includes unwind and
splicer, 2 Flooded Nip blade coating stations for beveled or bent blade
coating, rod coater, IR and air cap dryers, brush calenders and pope reel.
Auxiliaries include coating kitchen, 9-roll supercalender and
slitter-rewinder. This coater can apply up to 20 gsm/side and can be used to
make a wide variety of coated products. It has made grades ranging from
coated ink jet and offset papers to coated board. Currently configured for
610 m/min (2,000 fpm) but could be speeded up. This system includes all of
the major equipment needed to produce a wide variety of coated products.
