producing 87,400 TPY of F.C.O. (catalogue) and publishing grade (books and
magazine) papers. Current manufacture is film offset coated papers 54 to 65
gsm, paper gloss 40 to 45%, smoothness approx 2 PPS10kgf. Bulky book grades
density 0.56, grammage 56 to 79 gsm and smoothness approx 400 Sheffield.
Grammage FCO: 52 TO 65 GSM. Coat weight 19gsm. Starch grades: 52 gsm to 79
gsm. Coat weight 2.5 gsm starch. Moisture FCO: 5.5%:Starch grades:8%. Sheet
filler approximately 10% calcium carbonate and opacifier. The furnish used
is long fibre imported from either New Zealand or Canada depending on the
grade of paper to be manufactured: mechanical refiner pulp using eucalyptus
chips in the CMP plant and pine chips in the RMP plant. This plant includes:
pulp side for RMP groundwood; cold soda semi chemical including washing,
thickening, bleaching and pulping; stock preparation; a 4600 mm (181”)
fourdrinier paper machine capable of running 480 to 760 M/Min; single nip
calender; Jagenberg rewinder. The coating system has a coating kitchen; an
off-machine coater capable to produce single coated matt- gloss of 25% and
smoothness of 3.5, PPS10 grammage range from 75 to 150 suitable for HSWO and
sheet offset printing, single coated gloss papers, gloss of 68% and a
smoothness of 1.7 PPS10 grammage range from 75 TO 90 suitable for HSWO and
sheet offset printing, double coated gloss with a gloss of 80% and a
smoothness of 0.8PPS10 grammage range from 100 to 170. HSWO grade also
produced and more; pre-winder; DC sectional drive. The finishing area
includes; (2) 10 roll supercalenders; a Valmet drum reel; Jagenberg
rewinder; Masson Scott rewinder; (3) Masson Scott sheeters; Stevens folio
wrapper; guillotine; and roll wrapper. There are compressors, workshops, a
lab, power plant, water filtration and Effluent Plant. The plant is
available in its entirety, or as individual systems.

white and brown testliner , 100 – 220 GSM at a maximum speed of 420 M/min.
from OCC raw material. New in 1968 with rebuilds through 2004. Includes
stock preparation and approach flow system as well as for top layer. The
machine includes: cantilevered bottom wire with hydraulic headbox; suction
couch roll with s/s shell; automatic basis weight cross-profile controls.
The top wire also has a hydraulic headbox as above. There are three presses:
a suction pick up roll; Bi Nip press with 1 suction press roll and 2 blind
drilled rolls; and a shoe press; There are 17 pre-dryers 1500 mm diameter
designed for 5 bar with a closed hood and ventilation system. A 4000mm M.G.
cylinder. There is a horizontal size press and then 12 after dryers as
above. There is a two roll soft compact calendar with 1 Nipco roll and one
heated roll followed by an online quality control scanner for basis weight
and moisture profile. The Pope reel is hydraulic with turn-up system. The
machine drive is sectional with individual motors. Also includes a vacuum
system finishing house equipment, laboratory and spares. Also included is a
